Cookie policy
Draft dated 23 October 2026
How Mira uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the Mira Companion app.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser.
2. What we use
Website. The Mira website does not use cookies or third-party trackers. We don’t place any cookies for analytics, advertising or marketing.
Mira Companion app. The app uses your browser’s own local storage (and, where relevant, session storage) to keep the following on your device:
- your conversations with Mira;
- your mood check-ins, journal entries and saved reflections;
- your first name and any goals you enter;
- a simple count of today’s messages, for the Free plan’s daily limit.
This storage is necessary for the app to work. It isn’t used for tracking or advertising, or shared with third parties. It stays on your device until you delete it or clear your browser’s site data.
3. Third-party cookies
We don’t use third-party cookies. Our AI provider (Anthropic) and our hosting provider (Vercel) don’t set cookies on your device through Mira.
4. Managing storage
Because we don’t use cookies, there’s no cookie banner or preference centre. You can clear what the app stores at any time:
- use “Delete everything” in the You screen in the app, or
- clear site data for Mira in your browser settings.
5. Changes and contact
We’ll update this policy if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes, and the date at the top will show when it was last revised. Questions: [contact email]. See also our privacy policy.
